Bend-y and Weasel-y Dragons

Sean demonstrates how bend-y and weasel-y dragons really are. If you can't get some place don't forget about your partner. The current setup for Sean used an Elongated Box setup. This setup worked but had been tricky to use for players to get around tight spaces. I've experimented with a couple of d...

Meet the Player-Base

Now a little something in between. Introducing Work-In-Progress on the first Player-Base. That's a game developer term for a place the player is going back to regularly. Typically this contains stuff like save spots, shops or whatever. Here the Player-Base provides the player with a laptop to review...

Long time no see, Mister

A very long time passed since the last news. One reason had been me moving to a new place which took longer than expect. Then there had been lots of work too correlated to show by its own. And finaly but not least there had been some nasty incidents at ModDB where somebody with site moderator power ...

Interaction News Post

Quite some time since the last news post. This has been mainly due to story writing work. More than 3 weeks went down the drain to building up a document to hold the important corner stones of the story. If this would be a boring FPS or an MP game then story would be a no-brainer. Since this is thou...

Re: .smd exporter blender 2.48

This is strange. It's utf8 over here and nobody had a problem yet with that encoding. Are you using an official stable Python release?

Re: .smd exporter blender 2.48

Yeah, that's a known problem and happens with the new Python Interpreter. They changed the rules for text encoding which causes this problem. This mess happens just because of my family name. Python hates it :P . Can be fixed by adding the following line as the second line in the script ( right unde...

Captain! We've got (loco)motion!

A long time passed since the last update on this profile as all the updates went into the Drag[en]gine profile where they are situated more logically. Now it's time to show what also happens on this project for a change. Improved locomotion system In the last News post of the Drag[en]gine ( which yo...

Re: .smd exporter blender 2.48

Try re-downloading the file. This looks more like a problem outside the reach of blender or python. Should the problem prevail can you post your blender version, python version and system?

Re: .smd exporter blender 2.48

Do not run the script directly. It's mean to be run from the "export" menu. If you run it otherwise it has no clue what you want it to do so it bails out. Maybe I should change that error message once upon time :P

Time for some news

A lot of time went by without news so it's time to give out some informations. Again quite some time since the last update. Like always this is mostly due to the fact that we push the work on the game engine before giving some hands on the game itself since we have the goal to get this puppy out of ...

Upgrade to phpBB3

Like many places this forum here took also the leap forward to the new phpBB3 version. The transition has worked without a problem so far but there might be small things broken. If you find something that is off just send a PM or make a topic in the suggestions forum. One thing is about the style. O...
